Five years ago, Shirley (the mum of the family) fell down a flight of stairs and broke her leg in several places, meaning she was housebound for over a year.
She quickly became bored with watching mundane TV programmes and started thinking about what she could do to occupy her days.
As a family we have always been keen on trivia games so Shirley picked up our set of the Encyclopaedia Britannica and started to write some trivia questions. What started as a bit of fun soon began to gather momentum, and she decided to keep going until she had a huge quantity of fresh, challenging questions that we could use with our favourite trivia games, and so that all her work would not go to waste we decide to publish them.
It took nearly five years to finish but in the end she had written 6,000 questions and answers covering Geography, Entertainment, History, Art and Literature, Science and Nature, Sport and Leisure.
